PRODUCTION:
 Pre-production: Planning, scripting and storyboarding, etc. 
 Financing:This happens before pre-production, and involves budget forecasting, finding investors, etc.
 Screenplay: This can be considered a separate stage before pre-production.
 Production: The actual shooting/recording
 Post-production: Everything between production and creating the final master copy.
 Distribution: After post-production, delivering the content to the audience (e.g. film prints, CD/DVD, etc).


DISTRIBUTION:
The distribution of a film(or movie) is the process through which a movie is made available to watch for an audience by a film distributor. This task may be accomplished in a variety of ways;

  1. with a theatrical release, 
  2. home entertainment release (in which the movie is made available on DVD-video or Blu-ray Disc
  3. or a television program for broadcast.




MARKETING:
Some ways to market a film are:

  1. Viral video-which means distribution of the trailer.
  2. Promotional tour-where the actors/actresses take part in interviews
  3. Merchandise-products promoting the film
  4. Film posters-on billboards and buses
EXHIBITION:
  1. Cinema
  2. DVD release
  3. Film festivals
  4. Premieres
